Fall Break in Italy

For our fall break, me and my friends decided to go on a week long trip around Italy which included Rome (pictured above), The Amalfi Coast, and Florence. It was such a culturally rich and beautiful trip. Of course we had to go the most famous places such as the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum. But it also entailed so much great food, gelato, snacks, and fun shopping! We flew in from Copenhagen and took trains to commute to the different cities in Italy.

On the next leg of our trip, we stopped at the Amalfi Coast which was so warm and sunny which reminded us of home! The Amalfi Coast was so fun to walk through and explore, there was so many locally owned shops and souvenirs to bring back. This part of the trip also included Ilas 22nd birthday so it was a lot of fun! The first picture on the left is the view we had from our Airbnb which was breathtaking especially at sunset. The middle was one of the MANY meals that we had which was so cheap compared to the high prices in Copenhagen. The last pic is of me and Ila eating pasta with the coast in the background, it was so beautiful to have lunch with this amazing view. The only con of this part of the trip was the MANY twists and turns which made me feel extremely sick in the bus lol.

The last part of our trip was exploring Florence. We had an amazing Airbnb location which was only minutes from the Duomo (pictured on the right) which was so convenient. Like all the other cities in Italy, the food was amazing and inexpensive and we ate tons of gelato! There was a ton of shopping and museums that we visited. Something super cool to me was being able to see the David statue, it was actually very large in person which I wasn't expecting. It was hard to go back to studying in Copenahgen after this exciting fall break but I am almost done with my study abroad :(
